How do I find the shelf life of my product?
All beauty products need to be used by a certain period after manufacturing to ensure optimal quality.
Shelf Life: This refers to how long a product remains safe and effective before it's opened when kept in optimal conditions. L'Occitane products have been tested to have a shelf life of 3 years, except our organic products, which is 2 years after manufacturing.
Period After Opening: This refers to how soon the product should be used after opening to ensure optimal quality. You can determine the period after opening by finding the PAO symbol on your product. The symbol can be recognized as the shape of an opened jar with a number of months. For example, 6 months as shown below.
To help elongate the quality of your product, close it tightly after each use and store away from heat, humidity, and direct sunlight.
