What is the shelf life of of my product?
All beauty products will need to be used by a certain period. This is known as the 'period after opening' and can be easily identified by the PAO symbol. The symbol can be recognised as the shape of an opened jar, and will have a number inside; 6M will indicate 6 Months, 12M is 12 months, and so on. Once opened the product should be used in this period, as after this time the quality of the product will deteriorate.

At L'Occitane we closely monitor and rotate our products based on the date of manufacture, to ensure the best possible quality is delivered to our customers. The testing we carry out during product creation ensures that they are safe to use and of the best quality for a minimum of 3 years past the date of manufacturing. For this reason we suggest customers avoid purchasing our products from unauthorised sellers, especially if the products have been discontinued by L'Occitane. We are also unable to offer exchanges or refunds on any products over 3 years old, and the normal returns policy applies.
